GETTING TO ISORC 2016


IEEE ISORC 2016 is being held at the Ron Cooke Hub, at the University of York's Heslington East campus, in York, UK. The guide below should help you both get to York, and also find the conference venue!

GETTING TO YORK

From London:
From London, use the underground (tube) to get to Kings Cross Station.
From Kings Cross station, there are many direct trains to York (journey time takes a little over 2 hours)

From Manchester:
From Manchester Airport, there is a direct train that will take you to York.

GETTING TO THE RON COOKE HUB

The Ron Cooke Hub can be easily reached from the centre of York by bus. Bus services run every 10 minutes, and will take you to outside the entrance to the Hub.To catch a bus, simply walk to York train station. From outside the entrance to the station, look for a bus stop. There are two bus services - number 44 and number 66 - that will take you to the campus.

We recommend you catch the Number 66 bus. This will take you to the front entrance of the Hub.

The Number 44 bus will take you to the Heslington East campus, but will drop you off a 2 minute walk from the Hub entrance.

The price for using the bus services is £2 for a return ticket.

The bus stop where you will find the number 44 and number 66 buses is shown below:

 

When you arrive at the Heslington East campus, the number 66 bus will stop outside the Hub. It looks like this:

 

CONFERENCE BANQUET

The conference Banquet will be held on Thursday 19th May at the Stonegate Yard Bar and Brasserie. Instructions on how to get to the restaurant will be given as part of the delegate packs.
